Helman Field was the site of a PIAA District 1 6A semi-final football game between the visiting Coatesville Red Raiders and the top-seed Pennridge Rams. It was a tight contest, with both teams notching big defensive stops and strong offensive drives, but the Rams held on to win 17-14, and advance to the championship.
